Frank Lauria '04VMA completed his first season as the varsity head coach in 2025, leading the Ramblers to a 17-6 record, District 10 championship, and appearance in the state playoffs. Lauria began coaching at Cathedral Prep in 2017 as an assistant coach under Josh Constable. He was promoted to junior varsity head coach following the 2019 season and compiled a 44-10 record in that role, prior to becoming the varsity head coach.
Lauria was a member of the Villa Maria Baseball team, playing under Cathedral Prep/Villa Maria Athletic Hall of Fame coach, Joe Lunger. Following high school, he played baseball for Notre Dame College (Euclid, OH) and Gannon University, earning a place on the GLIAC All-Academic team while at Gannon.
Lauria's brothers, Joe '09 and Jamie '12, both played baseball and graduated from Cathedral Prep, and his grandfather Howard Dobmeier '55 earned enshrinement in the Cathedral Prep President’s Hall of Fame. Lauria is married to Ashley Lauria '04VMA, and they have three children, Noah '23, Jackson '28, and Francesca.Â
