Peter Wagner '06 is entering his ninth season as Prep’s Head Women's Soccer Coach. While at Cathedral Prep, he spent three years on the varsity team earning back-to-back District 10 titles. As a senior and team captain, he helped his team earn a spot in the state quarterfinals.
After high school Wagner played Division I soccer at Cleveland State University, helping the team to become the most improved team in the country. He transferred and graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education/Special Education. He is currently working at Woodrow Wilson Middle School as a 7th and 8th grade autistic support teacher.
Wagner has been coaching soccer for the past 16 years at the high school and club levels, leading many of his teams to multiple tournament championships. In 2014 he coached the Erie Admirals under-13 girls to the Indoor National Championship. After three years as the head JV Women's Soccer coach and assistant varsity Women's Soccer coach at Villa Maria Academy, helping lead the Victors to a state title in 2015, he also helped lead them to a trip to Hershey where they finished runner-up in the state in 2019.
He resides in Erie with his wife Katie (Hersch) ’04VMA and son Landon.
